Customer Testimonial: Life After Retirement

My wife and I have been supported by Russell Van Homrigh Financial Services (RVHFS) since the year 2000. Initially we were only trying to gauge “the for and the against” preparing ourselves for early retirement if the opportunity arose at where I worked.

Due to extenuating circumstances in 2002 and with a redundancy in the offering, I had to seek a quick assessment from RVHFS to see if our current finances would support us. I had to respond within two weeks if I was to take up the redundancy.

The review was quick and very thorough and we were kept in the loop throughout the review process. We certainly appreciated the effort from all concerned.
RVHFS were able to assist us in the transition stage of my retiring from full time employment also ensuring all legal and financial aspects were addressed.

During 2002 the financial world was in turmoil. The framework as proposed by RVHFS appeared to be more secure than what my Industry Superannuation Fund was offering. At all times Mr Russell Van Homrigh assured us that whatever we did, our monies would be placed in secure portfolios.

The first year after retiring certainly had its uncertain times. RVHFS assisted us via phone calls, emails and personal visits to adjust to the new system we had now entered.

Since then and even during the 2008 world financial crisis Russell visited us twice yearly to gauge our progress in addition to the occasional request for additional information. The RVHFS support staff are very courteous and obliging in maintaining the necessary paper trails to reflect changes in the portfolios associated with our investments and insurance policies.

We now look forward to many more years of happy retirement in association with Russell Van Homrigh Financial Services.
